Mission + Culture + Team

Our Mission:

Our Mission is to design and deliver complex projects through an integrated team platform that can save time, money and provide an enjoyable experience to our clients and partners. We work in harmony with the construction team and the ownership teams to delivery design excellence aligned with the project mission.  We strive to work as one, trust centered and collaborative, team delivering Way More Architecture with Way More Accountability, craft and follow through.

Our Culture:

The core of our culture is the pursuit of excellence through trust, collaboration, and fun.  We love designing highly complex projects and assisting the build and ownership team in realizing the idea. We never see problems, only challenges that will make the project better for our clients.  The realization of a project is a very complex mission for all involved.  The process can offer stress instead of fun.  We seek fun by being quick, clear, accurate, collaborative, and happy.  Our process is centered on the joy of design, building, and having a happy client.  Bottom-line our goal is to make our partners and clients life easier, as best as we can.

Our History:

Established two decades ago, WMA has grown a reputation for design excellence, technical accuracy and innovative expertise within semiconductor and advanced tech design. Our culture of design excellence and technical coordination became the foundation and destination for clients with Mission Critical Architecture needs that have created long lasting relationships within the advanced manufacturing and semiconductor industry. Our design vision and delivery discipline extends in our other design markets such as civic, higher education, CCRC Senior Living, corporate campus repositioning, tenant improvements, sustainable design, cultural and community centered projects.

The background of WMA is as a professional architectural design firm focusing on the High Technology and Industrial markets in the private sector.  The firm was incorporated on April 3, 1995, and located at 4600 North 12th Street, in Phoenix, Arizona. In the ensuing 25 years, WMA has had the opportunity to become involved in diverse project types that range from residential, governmental, educational, retail, hospitality, light medical, “Build-To-Suit” office, industrial and manufacturing projects. We have an extensive knowledge of various construction materials and methods including cast-in-place concrete, masonry, steel, wood, pre-engineered, and modular buildings.

Our skill and expertise also include navigating very complicated city entitlement requirements, permitting review process and site planning due diligence for project and campus master planning and building programming.

Careers:

We have a target growth of 20 to 30 team members.  While seeming small, we are not a “single boat in the ocean”, we collaborate with a national and international engineer and architecture team working in the USA, Europe, and Asia.  The next generation of WMA is about growth, diversity of thought, new markets and new opportunities centered in excellence of our craft.

We hire very carefully.  Our family culture of excellence and fun is because of our excellent team members.  We are building on that foundation and look forward to discussing career opportunities and future working relationships with happy, high performers.  Please contact Beau or Christina to learn more about WMA.
